Gartland Distributors was founded in 1999 by Bob Gartland, who built the business from a one-man operation selling beef jerky out of his pickup truck into one of Maine’s most trusted snack distribution companies. With the support of his wife Kate, their family, and long-time partner Ron Soucy, the company became known for its personal service, local relationships, and unwavering commitment to quality.

In June 2025, ownership transitioned to Jim and Christine Faiella, experienced small business owners with over 15 years running community markets in southern Maine. Jim and Christine are dedicated to carrying forward the values that made Gartland a success, ensuring a seamless transition while continuing to deliver the same exceptional service and Maine-made products customers have come to rely on.
